Publications

This is the perfect starting place. We are asking each person with an event, announcement, thank-you, etc. to fill out a publication request form. This form lets the communications team know that there is something to publish. Without it, it’s like your item doesn’t exist.

The form can be found in our offices and online. You can either fill out the form and submit it online, or you can download the form, fill it out, then email it to Kat Cochrane, or drop it off in her mailbox in the church office. If you need help filling out the form, please contact us.

The Publication Request Form can be filled out online, it can be downloaded and saved to your computer, then emailed back to Kat Cochrane, or it can be picked up in the church office, on the table opposite the receptionist desk. The short answer is no. We will put your publication in all the places we have available to us, with a couple of exceptions. We will work hard to make sure your item is put in front of our congregation.

If you want a flyer, you need to tell us in the description field of the form – one will not be created automatically for you.

That’s great that you put together a flyer. However, all postings (anything hanging on the physical building) must be approved by Kat Cochrane, the Media & Graphic Coordinator. Just email or drop off a copy of the flyer for approval.

Each of our mediums has a special purpose. The Monday Morning Message is only for events or announcements that are happening that week. If your event is still 3 weeks away, it will appear in the Monday Morning Message the week it is happening.

99% of the time the answer will be no. It’s not because we don’t like you or your event, but because we have so many events happening at KFUMC, we would spend the entire length of our worship services just on announcements if we had the pastors say something about each one.

We try to limit the announcements to 3 items, and only select those that have impact on the greatest number of people. Thanks for your understanding on this.

No problem. By downloading, you can either fill it out in MS Word and email it back to us, or you can print it out, fill out the form, and return it to our office. You can even save a copy of the form for a later publication.
