KFUMC MISSION PROGRAMS

Mission Programs fully implement Christ's "Great Commission" of Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  Amen."

  1. Kerrville and Kerr County area Local Missions

  2. State & National Mission programs]

The church Mission Programs committee has cognizance over the budget of the first four of the ministry areas mentioned above. KFUMC is blessed to have Sunday School classes and its Youth Ministry program which also participate throughout the year in many mission endeavors which supplement the church's Mission Programs. In addition to this defined church mission program there are other conference connectional mission programs and special offerings during the church ecumenical calendar year under Special Mission Events.
Prayerfully consider becoming a member of the Mission Programs committee in its many activities of Christian Service and Witness here in our local community programs, in state and national programs, supporting our Missionary families, and many overseas mission programs. There are opportunities for Christian Service on mission trips within the community, within the United States, and overseas. These involve assistance for the elderly, shut-ins; building/renovating church buildings both here and overseas; under the Russian Initiative teaching the people how to conduct VBS, establish their UMW & UMM organizations, form Sunday schools in their churches - and many more activities.
