We are an active group (youth group, that is) and
here are pictures of some of our activities.

Fields of Faith

The second "Fields of Faith" was held in Kerrville on Wednesday evening, October 10, 2007. Students were invited to meet on the 50 yard line of the football field at Antler Stadium at 7:00 pm. Over 500 students gathered together and were challenged to get "back to the fundamentals of the game plan of life"- the Word of God. Students shared scripture, prayed together and gave testimonies about what God is doing in their lives. Many students accepted Christ, while many others recommitted their lives to Christ. It was a powerful evening of revival! Please continue to pray for our students.

We took pictures of the event and you can see those pictures by clicking on:

We took some pictures during our Neighbor to Neighbor project.

NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR - 2007

The summer of 2007 saw eighty-four area youth and adult leaders from four local churches participate in a service project called "Neighbor-To-Neighbor". They helped some of our mature neighbors in Kerrville, Ingram and Center Point by providing free labor to meet many of their home maintenance needs. Youth from Kerrville First United Methodist Church, Trinity Baptist Church, Zion Lutheran Church and Kerrville Church of Christ did everything from window washing to lawn maintenance, from hauling loads to the dump to painting plus a variety of other cleaning projects. The youth and adults packed sack lunches each morning and at lunchtime each group, composed of a mixture of youth from the participating churches, ate together and shared a time of prayer and devotionals. This has shown to be a great opportunity to serve Christ by serving others. These youth discovered the importance of loving with actions and not just words. They realized the power of God's love as they provided practical assistance to their neighbors.  This is an annual summer mission project. If you would like more information for the summer of 2008, contact Beth Palmer at First United Methodist Church of Kerrville at 257-0803.
