In 2002, for her life of love and devotion to Jesus Christ and the music program of FUMC Kerrville, Lynda was honored with the Lynda Ables Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are available for her use for youth in the church. Lynda says she feels blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to help these young peole with their desire to further their music abilities. This scholarship is open for contributions from anyone who would like to honor Lynda and help the youth of the church reach their music goals.

Wish List

The Music Department maintains a "Wish List" of currently unfunded projects that would benefit the Music Program at KFUMC.  If you would like to make one-time donation, establish a permanent endowment fund, or set-up a regularly desginated account, please speak with Rev. Don McAvoy, Minister of Music about the possibilities of such a gift.  Memorials and honorariums are always welcomed.

Dec. 7 - MidWeek Noels - Piano Duos with Sabrina Adrian and Eddie Sharp - Noon

Dec. 11 - Hill Country Youth Orchestras Christmas Concert - 3pm - Cailloux Theater

Dec. 14 - MidWeek Noels - Strings! with Karen Shirer & Friends - Noon

Dec. 18 - "Many Moods of Christmas" - 8:30/11:00am / Gospel Service - 6pm

Dec. 21 - MidWeek Noels - Duets - Noon 

Christmas Eve:

4:00pm - Family Service (designed for Children)

6:00pm - Contemporary Service in Fellowship Hall

6:00/8:00 - Communion & Candlelight with the Christmas Choir and Soloists (extended prelude begins 20 minutes prior to the service)

11:00pm - Midnight Jazz Service

Christmas Day:

One Service at 10:00am
KFUMC Mission Statement
  • Sunday services are at 8:30, 9:45, 11:00, and 6:00.
  • Contemporary worship is at 11:00 in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Sunday School is at 9:45 each Sunday.
  • Communion is on the 1st Sunday each month in all services.
