Heart and Hands Women's Ministry
| Mission Statement: |
Sisters in Christ, standing shoulder to shoulder; united in fellowship, compassion, service and love, with many hands and one heart. |
| Purpose: |
To encourage unity, spiritual growth, and fellowship among women |
| Scripture: |
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." |
 |
One of the main objectives is to have events for ladies so they would be able to come together for fellowship. With so many services and our church growing, there are many women that we never have a chance to meet. Hopefully our events will help women meet each other, grow spiritually, and build relationships. The group is open to women of all ages in our church and community, and members are encouraged to invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers and they will be warmly welcomed.

Our goal is to try to plan events every other month. Our Next event is on August 5th @ 6:30 PM in the 21st Century Room. Come and hear our Wesley Nurse, Jennifer Correa-Knoulton share her faith journey, with special music provided by our own Tony McRorey. Plus we'll be having an ice cream sundae buffet! Childcare is provided. Please call Jo Carol Smith @ 830.896.5705 to let her know the ages of the children needing childcare. Also as part of this event, we will be collecting donations for school children in need. Help us by bringing #2 pencils, wide-ruled notebook paper, flat, rectangular boxes of Kleenex and we will also be accepting cash donations. Please join us for a night of food and fellowship with other women.
This fall we are having our Live In Faith Everyday women's retreat at Purple Sage Ranch in Bandera, TX. The retreat is October 7-9, and costs $260 per person for a single room, or $180 per person for a double. The speaker for the week will be Rev. Sue White and music will be provided by former KFUMC music director Lynda Ables. Don't miss this opportunity to be blessed and encouraged by other women. Click here for more information and to register for this event.
Our “Heart and Hands Women’s Ministry” planning team is always open to fresh, new ideas and always looking for new things to offer our “Sisters in Christ” that encourages unity, spiritual growth, and fellowship among women.
